(SST) a New York-based RFID solutions provider to the retail and sports industries has extended the services of Fusion Technologies Inc. (Fusion) as their software development partner for their transactional and reporting systems supporting their PowerPay(TM) product.

RFID technology continues to gain momentum as a preferred payment and identification system for consumers. PowerPay uses a merchant or team-branded key fob that utilizes RFID technology along with a small antenna to transmit a Unique Identifier (UID) for consumers at designated Points of Sale (POS). After the key fob is waved in front of the PowerPay RF Reader, the POS transmits the UID along with relevant transactional information to PowerPay's secure hosting environment.

All of the transactions are sent to the core PowerPay(TM) engine for validation and processing through the system co-developed by Fusion and the SST Team. This system matches transactional purchase information with merchant-supplied promotions to intelligently award consumers with valuable targeted discounts and special offers.

In addition to the transaction processing engine, Fusion has built two additional sophisticated web applications for SST. The first is a secure application used by SST and their partners providing call center functionality, account management, loyalty program management, tools for targeting customer segments and a reporting/analytics interface. The second is a consumer self-service application used by registered PowerPay(TM) users for individual account management, purchase history review and redeeming rewards based on loyalty earnings.
